Tbilisi International Airport: довідник мандрівника
At Tbilisi, basic Fast Track and a full Primeclass welcome are sold as separate services. Decide whether you need help getting through the controls or an escort who also handles the practical route from the terminal entrance to your flight, or from the arrival gate to your pickup.
Arriving at Tbilisi International Airport
Primeclass’s published arrival offer starts with a greeting at the gate, followed by baggage and porter assistance and an escort towards the taxi meeting. The airport’s separate arrival guide also mentions Fast Track for immigration. Ask for the exact priority access to be confirmed in your booking rather than assuming it is part of every arrival package.
Leaving from Tbilisi International Airport
Basic Fast Track is arranged at the desk before security and covers the designated security and passport-control route. The fuller Primeclass departure service adds a hostess and porter at the entrance, help with check-in and a lounge visit near gate 101. The airport says this package needs advance booking and prepayment. Send the number of bags and any oversized items before asking for a final quote.
Coffee, food and time in the terminal
Costa Coffee publishes 24/7 opening at Tbilisi and offers drinks, sandwiches and pastries. The airport links the menus; check current prices at the counter. For an arrival, check your flight on the baggage-belt screens before leaving the reclaim area. The official guide lists four carousels and places Lost & Found beside them, so report missing or damaged luggage before moving on to your pickup.
Shopping before your flight
ATU’s duty-free shops are after passport control in the departure hall and are published as open 24 hours. Georgian wine, chacha and churchkhela are listed alongside perfumes and travel gifts. Take account of the import rules at the destination and any onward security check before buying alcohol or other liquids.
Documents and security
Do not leave bags unattended. Keep medication and the relevant documentation accessible, and check restrictions before carrying controlled medicines. A particularly important 2026 entry check is health and accident insurance: most tourists must carry a valid policy covering the full visit, in Georgian or English, with at least GEL 30,000 cover.
Entry requirements: Georgia
Georgia’s visa rules depend on nationality and the documents the traveller already holds. Use the Georgian consular portal or e-Visa eligibility checker. Where an e-Visa is required, complete the application before travel and carry the approval and requested supporting documents. Do not infer eligibility simply because someone holds a European residence permit.
Since 1 January 2026, most tourists entering Georgia must have valid health and accident insurance covering their full stay, with a minimum cover of GEL 30,000. The Georgian embassy notice says the policy may be electronic or on paper, must be in Georgian or English, and can be issued by a Georgian or foreign insurer. There are stated exemptions, including certain diplomatic and official categories.
